PR has traditionally stood for “Public Relations”. While the fundamental principals are just as applicable today, the traditional PR model is evolving. Like the newspaper industry, the PR industry has also been struggling to define its role to co-exist with social media.
Much progress has been made in the past year and the measurement tools have progressed with it. PR is no longer about pushing your one-way message through traditional media channels. Today, it’s about engaging your customers with two-way conversations about your brand.
As I have mentioned here and on other social media platforms, it’s refreshing to have witnessed PR going back to “People and Relationships”, which to me, is what PR is all about. Building and maintaining quality relationships. What about you? What does PR mean to you?
